Orange-gold ground. An orange-gold field with a wreath of pale-blue peonies around a bronze centre and a treasure vase above and below, inside a wide tile border and a cobalt edge. Border: A wide band of crimson, teal and gold tiles, many holding endless knots, inside a white key pattern. Cobalt edge. Palette: Orange-gold, cobalt, pale blue, crimson, teal, gold. What it signifies: Orange-gold is the deepest of the monastic saffrons, and the pale blue peonies set a cool lotus seat inside it — calm held in the middle of a warm room. The tiles of the border repeat the palbeu knot panel by panel, so the promise of the two treasure vases is bound round on all four sides. "A cool lotus seat set in the warmth of saffron." Auspicious for the home: The knotted tile border makes the same wish as HTC-49 on a bolder ground — good for an entrance or a formal room, where the first impression a guest receives is the blessing.
