From raw wool to finished masterpiece: the journey of a Tsultrim carpet
Client Consultation & Design Brief
We start with your CAD drawings, floor plans, or moodboard, establishing dimensions, palette, and material intent before a single knot is tied.
Material Selection
We source the finest Himalayan wool, known for its high lanolin content and natural durability. Each batch is carefully inspected for quality.
Design & Pattern
Our designers create unique patterns that blend traditional Tibetan motifs with contemporary aesthetics. Every design is hand-drawn and refined.
Dyeing
Using natural dyes derived from plants and minerals, we color the wool in small batches. This traditional method ensures rich, lasting colors.
Weaving
Master weavers work on traditional looms, tying each knot by hand using the Tibetan loop-knot method. A single carpet can take months to complete.
Finishing
The carpet is carefully trimmed, washed, and stretched. Our quality control team inspects every inch to ensure perfection.
Quality Assurance & Ethical Sourcing
Every piece is checked against knot density and finish standards before export, woven under fair-wage conditions consistent with our NCMEA membership.
Delivery
Each Tsultrim carpet is carefully packaged and shipped to its new home, carrying with it the legacy of generations of craftsmanship.
