Gyatum Saffron

A saffron gold field carries a wreath of crimson peonies around a blue centre, with a treasure vase above and below and slim flowering stems at either side, framed by a wide band of small tiles holding endless knots inside a plum wine edge. Saffron is the colour of monks' robes and of butter lamp light, so the whole field reads as an offering laid out, and the palbeu knots in the border tie it together. The warmest of the floral colourways, and a natural Losar or housewarming gift.
