THE DRUK COLLECTION
HTC-92Druk Jewel Court
Dragons and phoenixes over a marigold field, strung with lines of pearls and small sprays of flowers, inside a row of white dots, a blue and white key pattern and a deep band of linked squares in rose and plum. This is the bordered version of the dragon drawings and the most formal of the brocades. The dragons hold and chase the norbu, the wish fulfilling jewel that gives whatever is asked of it, and the linked squares of the border are the yungdrung, the sign of the everlasting, which runs through both Bon and Buddhist ornament. The wealth piece of the collection, and a conventional Losar or new business gift.
